Holistic Integrated Creative Art Therapy
This is a method which uses different creative modalities such as art, music, drama, dance, movement, poetry, creative writing, storytelling, journaling and sandplay to assist you to become self-empowered. This is achieved by supporting you on a journey of personal and emotional growth which incorporates the mind, body, emotions and spirit. You do not need to have any artistic ability but rather, a willingness to interact and engage fully with the creative process.
My role is to integrate the relevant creative modality within the counselling session. With your agreement, your individual needs will be determined and creative art therapy is incorporated in a way that suits your needs. The creative process is used to facilitate robust conversation and express emotions and experiences that you may not be able to fully express through words. Structured, creative processes also stimulate the brain and hormones to create balance, happiness and calmness.
